ISSUE NUMBER TWO: A SINGLE POINT OF FAILURE
The second thing that makes branch office networking so unique is that the wide area network connection often becomes a single point of failure. In other words, if the link between the main office and the branch office fails, then the users in the branch office will become completely cut off from the main office. Depending on how you have designed the network, those users may not even be able to log into their workstations if a WAN connection failure occurs. Needless to say, this is one of the most important issues that must be planned for when designing a branch office network.
