Forest Feast acquires Just Live a Little granola from Portaferry


Pioneering snack maker Kestrel Foods acquired the Just Live a Little granola brand founded in 2012 by David and Jill Crawford, who began making and selling artisanal granola in local markets.

The brand will join Kestrel Food’s award-winning portfolio of Forest Feast, ACTI-SNACK and private label lines and will continue to grow in the herbal space.

The granolas have become a favorite in homes, hotels and cafes across the country, with listings at Waitrose, Ocado, Tesco NI and many fine food retailers.

The range includes healthier non-HFSS granolas, including low sugar whole almond, coconut and chia ranges, as well as bramley apple and cinnamon ranges.

Over the past 24 years, Kestrel Foods has experienced impressive and consistent annual sales growth, continually adapting to changing markets and innovating new products, processes and technologies.

The company recently invested £2.8 million in its world-class manufacturing facility, which now employs 80 people at its headquarters in Portadown, Co Armagh.

Kestrel Foods’ flagship brand, Forest Feast, has performed well throughout the pandemic with retail sales up 26% year over year. Recently launched ranges include slow roasted and seasoned nuts, Belgian chocolate covered nuts and chocolate covered dried fruits.
