HUL’s Geetika Mehta is the new Managing Director of Hershey India

She succeeds Herjit Bhalla who was elevated to a global role earlier this year.

Geetika Mehta has joined Hershey India as the new Managing Director. She joined the chocolatier after spending 18 years with consumer goods giant Hindustan Unilever (HUL).

Mehta succeeds Herjit Bhalla as Managing Director, who was elevated to Vice President, India and Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa (AEMEA) effective January 2021.

“After 18 rewarding years, I am leaving Unilever. I am very grateful to Unilever for all the incredible opportunities and experiences that have shaped me. I have been fortunate to work with the most insightful mentors, amazing colleagues and closest friends! A BIG THANK-YOU! As of today I am moving to Hershey India and I am super excited and energized by this new adventure ”, Mehta posted on LinkedIn to announce her departure.

Mehta had joined HUL just after graduating from IIM Ahmedabad, and Hershey India is her second gig in her 18-year career. She, in her last role, at HUL was General Manager, Home & Hygiene (India) & Regional Brand Director (South Asia); she directed Vim, Domex, Cif.

In May of this year, Sudhir Sitapati left HUL after 22 years (he was its Executive Director and Vice President, Foods & Refreshment) to join Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) as Managing Director and CEO.
