Lori Gobris joins Michelman | Labels and labeling


Michelman has appointed Lori Gobris as Global Marketing Manager for a Circular Economy, responsible for global market strategy and programs that enable sustainable packaging for a circular economy.

Gobris will be responsible for Michelman’s global market strategy and programs that enable sustainable packaging for the circular economy within its printing and packaging business segment. She will lead Michelman’s efforts to continue to develop and expand technologies in the sustainable packaging market in fiber and film-based products.

Gobris brings nearly 30 years of experience in the paper and flexible packaging industry. She most recently served as senior marketing director at Amcor, leading segments across multiple applications in the flexible packaging market. Prior to that, she held various technical and marketing positions at Coating Excellence and International Paper.

The company has opened up new markets for paper and film packaging since creating its first water-based repulpable coating over 50 years ago. Its current barrier and functional coatings for paper and film enable the development of industrially recyclable, repulpable and compostable packaging.
