Founded in 1952 by “Speedy” Bill and Joyce Smith, Speedway Motors began as a small parts store in Lincoln, Neb. Today, Speedway Motors offers over 250,000 products for race, street, muscle and rod. With two retail stores and distribution centers in Neb., W.Va., and Ariz., employing nearly 600 people, they remain committed to providing a wide selection of high-quality, affordable auto parts delivered quickly, efficiently, and hassle-free. . The family business is run by the second generation of the family, Bill and Joyce’s four sons: Carson, Craig, Clay and the late Jason Smith. Jason Smith, Bill and Joyce’s youngest son, passed away in 2021, but Speedway Motors continues to celebrate his passion for racing and his dedication to our customers.
“For 70 years, we have been building memories for life, and our customers are at the heart of this story. We are proud to look back on a long line of projects, history and tradition as we celebrate our 70th anniversary,” said Clay Smith, President and Owner of Speedway Motors.
