Speedway Motors will celebrate the 70th anniversary of its customers

Speedway Motors, a manufacturer, retailer and distributor of high-quality automotive parts and racing products, today announced that it will be celebrating its customers and its 70th anniversary during Customer Appreciation Week, June 25-31. July, with discounts, giveaways and a Cars & Coffee celebration.

Founded in 1952 by “Speedy” Bill and Joyce Smith, Speedway Motors began as a small parts store in Lincoln, Neb. Today, Speedway Motors offers over 250,000 products for race, street, muscle and rod. With two retail stores and distribution centers in Neb., W.Va., and Ariz., employing nearly 600 people, they remain committed to providing a wide selection of high-quality, affordable auto parts delivered quickly, efficiently, and hassle-free. . The family business is run by the second generation of the family, Bill and Joyce’s four sons: Carson, Craig, Clay and the late Jason Smith. Jason Smith, Bill and Joyce’s youngest son, passed away in 2021, but Speedway Motors continues to celebrate his passion for racing and his dedication to our customers.

Carson, Craig and Clay talk about the past seven decades in the latest Speedway Motors podcast episode, including the history, growth and future of Speedway Motors. They tell stories of the early days of Speedway Motors and the Lincoln hot rod community that sprung up around the local Air Force base. The brothers also recount the beginnings of the Museum of American Speed ​​and the importance of preserving automotive history. Finally, each brother shares the most important aspect of Speedway Motors – their customers and how their passion for cars has fueled the automotive community since the beginning.

To celebrate their customers, Speedway Motors will be offering discounts and giveaways throughout the week.

All orders placed throughout the week will also receive a free buildable hot rod sticker sheet while supplies last. The week will end with a celebration during Cars & Coffee at their company headquarters in Lincoln, Neb. July 30 from 8 a.m. to noon. The celebration will include free coffee, music from DJ Craig Estudillo, admission to the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed, giveaways as well as food for purchase by 402 Creamery, Kona Ice & The Chocolate Season. The first 500 cars will also receive gift bags.
